The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies is pleased to welcome Danielle Krout-Kaza to its team, as a part-time Communication Specialist. Many in the community may already recognize Danielle, as she worked for WTAJ News since 2008, and spent much of her time in the Johnstown area reporting news for the CBS affiliate. During that time, Krout-Kaza became familiar with the Foundation covering many of its events and announcements.
In her role as Communication Specialist, Danielle will help to promote the Foundation and its role in our community, and will also tell the inspiring stories of its donors and grantees.
“Danielle has a strong media background and good contacts and community knowledge. We are very happy to have her join our staff and help us to spread the word about all of the good things that we have going on here thanks to the philanthropy of our donors,” said Mike Kane, president.
Danielle added, “There are so many aspects to what the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies does and so many good stories to be told. I’m looking forward to helping it meet its mission of ‘benefitting the community, forever.’ ”
Danielle and her husband Ryan, co-owner of Kaza Fire Equipment, live in Ebensburg and have a 17-month-old daughter, McKenzie Reece, and a Yorkshire Terrier, Charlie. They enjoy spending family time together, traveling, cooking, and summers at Raystown Lake.
