Information for Students
The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies works with many donors to provide scholarships all across our region. The selection process for most of our scholarships is managed through committees established at local high schools. However, we will be glad to answer any questions you might have about the scholarships available as well as applying for and receiving scholarship funds.

Information for Donors
Donors support students in a variety of ways. Scholarships may be designated for students graduating from a specified high school, for students intending to go to a specified college, for an accredited post-secondary institution, or even for a particular field of interest. The Foundation seeks to fulfill each donor’s intent by making certain his or her interests are being met appropriately and efficiently.
The Foundation works closely with the students, the high schools, and the colleges to make sure all administrative details are addressed. The Foundation also participates in the Pennsylvania Higher Education Agency’s Partnerships for Access to Higher Education (PATH) program, which provides matching support to Foundation scholarships, if qualified.
