The Point Stadium Award Banquet recognizes the outstanding talent of our local athletes and supports the Community Foundation’s Point Stadium Preservation Fund. The event will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Johnstown at 6:00 PM, with Private Reception beginning at 5:30 PM.

John Stofa (Bishop McCort, Class of 1960) will be the evening’s speaker. He was the first ever Cincinnati Bengals signee and holds the distinction of throwing the first touchdown pass in Bengals history. In college, Stofa set passing records at the University of Buffalo. He played ten years of professional football with the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Jacksonville Sharks (WFL). Stofa was inducted into the Cambria County Sports Hall of Fame in 1975.
