Ali Doty is joining the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies as its new Communications Specialist. Ali’s top priority is sharing the amazing stories happening through the CFA with everyone in our region and beyond. She will serve as the Community Foundation’s primary media liaison and public relations officer.
“Cambria, Somerset, and Bedford counties are beautiful places to live and play, filled with wonderful people. The Community Foundation uplifts the region by funding and facilitating community-minded programs. I’m excited to work with people whose sole purpose, every day, is to make this area even better,” says Ali.
Ali spent a decade in television news, including a stint in this region as Cambria/Somerset Bureau Chief for WTAJ-TV. She then spent a number of years in public relations, as National Media Coordinator for the headquarters of a global church. Ali also has her Master’s Degree in Journalism from American University in Washington, DC.
CFA Executive Director Mike Kane says, “It’s our pleasure to welcome Ali Doty to the Community Foundation team. She brings with her a wealth of communications experience, both from her career in the media but also with years of working with nonprofits. We look forward to the expertise that she will bring to our own organization, as well as the numerous community groups that our donors help to support.”
