BEDFORD — Bedford County Veterans are raising money to help severely injured combat veterans by hosting a golf tournament fundraiser at the Omni Bedford Springs. The Bedford County Veterans and Citizens for Heroes hopes to bring in $30,000 — enough to purchase an all-terrain wheel chair, and to provide a specialized treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.
The tournament is September 23 at 8am at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort. Everyone is invited to play.
The deadline for tickets and sponsorships is September 11. Tickets are $100 per player, and include breakfast, golf, and lunch. The group is also looking for sponsors at all levels.
If you can’t make it to the tournament, you can still help veterans with a donation to the Bedford County Veterans and Citizens for Heroes Fund. Any amount is appreciated.
