The Quemahoning Chillin’ for Charity Winter Festival & Arctic Splash will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Quemahoning Family Recreation Area.

This Winter Festival & Arctic Splash takes “Frozen” to a whole new level. This event is not just about challenging someone to take that icy leap, it’s also about raising awareness and financial support for non-profit organizations doing great things in our community.

From volunteer firefighters to providing nutritious meals to children in need over the weekends, to rescuing animals to providing medical care to those in need, you are bound to find a charity you want to support. And all the funds are kept locally, and will directly impact the Cambria/Somerset Community.

By braving the freezing cold to support one or all of these great organizations, you will be warming the heart of someone in need.

If you are too chicken to go in the water, you can still support your favorite charity. Just register as a chicken! You will have to raise a minimum of $50 like the plungers, but you will still be eligible to receive incentives…except without the freezing water…Although seriously, that’s the BEST part.

Attend the event and get your own special “Too Chicken” t-shirt, and you can cheer from the sidelines in the “chicken coop”.
