Responding to COVID-19 and Our Community’s Changing Needs
Caring for Our Community
UPDATE: We are not currently accepting applications for the COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund (to view funding opportunities, visit cfalleghenies.org/grants)
It is part of our mission to be here for our community: as a support system for front-line nonprofits; as a leader in helping our donors respond to community needs today, tomorrow, and forever; and as a hub for community collaboration. We know we can get through this best by doing what our community does best: caring for one another.
That’s why, in spring 2020, we launched an emergency fund to address these rapidly evolving needs. The COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund was designed to quickly provide financial resources to organizations meeting the community’s critical and changing needs, such as health, human services, and economic challenges.
As always, the community stepped in to offer help when help was needed. CFA waived all credit card and management fees—so 100 percent of our community members’ contributions were used to provide relief in our community. Thank you, and please continue to take care—of yourselves and one another.
