The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies welcomes Kerstin Cochran to its Johnstown office. As the CFA’s new Administrative Assistant, Kerstin will handle front office duties Monday through Friday, providing essential support to our Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Cochran has a long history of administrative and management experience, including the opening of a nonprofit no-kill animal shelter in North Carolina. She says she wanted to work with the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies because it’s an “organization that makes a difference.”
Born and raised in Germany, Cochran has also lived all over the world, and brings a global view to CFA operations. She moved to this area seven years ago with her retired military husband, who is a Cambria County native. They are raising their two children here.
Community Foundation Executive Director Mike Kane says of Cochran, “Kerstin understands how important strong administrative support is to a successful organization. Her solid skills, along with mission-minded nonprofit experience, make her a great fit for our team.”
