Since its inception, the Somerset County Community Fund has awarded more than $416,000 in grants to more than 110 local nonprofits. Twice per year, a local committee reviews grant requests submitted and decides how and where the money will be spent, strengthening Somerset County’s nonprofit organizations, one grant at a time. Afterschool programs, libraries, food banks, conservation projects, playgrounds, art and cultural exhibits, summer camps, and even cats and dogs—the diversity of our community is reflected in the wide-ranging programs and special projects supported by the Somerset County Community Fund.

Giving for Always

Because the Somerset County Community Fund is endowed, a gift today gives forever. Only the interest generated by the fund is distributed as part of the Community Foundation’s grantmaking process. You can contribute to the fund to support all local nonprofits or direct donations to target specific areas of interest, such as:
