We are pleased to announce the newest addition to our Board of Directors—healthcare consultant, retired CEO, and president of the Johnstown Tomahawks—Craig Saylor.
“We are thrilled to welcome Craig’s knowledge and enthusiasm to our board,” said CFA Executive Director Angie Berzonski.
A resident of Jerome, Saylor has been an active member of the Somerset and Johnstown communities for decades. Saylor became a registered respiratory therapist in 1982, launching his career at the former Somerset Hospital. Saylor served in various roles at Somerset Hospital, including director of cardio-pulmonary services, vice president, and chief operating officer, ultimately becoming CEO of the hospital in 2014.
Throughout his prominent career, Saylor has been an advocate for patient care within healthcare systems. He has continued this work well into his retirement by serving on the board of Senior Choice and the advisory board of 4medica while also working as a health consultant.
In 2023, Saylor combined his passions for hockey and business by becoming a minority owner and president of business operations of the Johnstown Tomahawks. Additionally, Saylor serves on the board of trustees for the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra and is president of the Rotary Club of Johnstown.
“Community foundations provide critical roles in communities across the country,” said Saylor. “CFA is a vibrant organization committed to serving our area, and I am honored to become a member of the board.”
“As the Community Foundation continues to grow, we are fortunate to be able to add strong local talent and expertise to our board,” said CFA President Mike Kane. “Craig Saylor is an excellent addition to our organization who will help us better achieve our mission of empowering donors and serving our community.”
