The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies is pleased to announce that it has awarded grants totaling $71,750 to 15 projects that support Indiana County during its Fall 2023 Grant Round. The grants range from $1,500 to more than $7,000 and serve the community in various ways: purchasing equipment for local fire and emergency service crews; upgrading technology and shoring up infrastructure for nonprofit facilities; empowering grassroots organizations to implement and expand youth programs; and much more. “Our Bork Family Fund has been instrumental in supporting Indiana County nonprofits for more than two decades. In particular, this fund and its advisors have been proud to support the good work of first responders, programs that support literacy and youth, as well as basic health and human service needs,” said Mike Kane, CFA president and executive director. “We certainly encourage more donations from anyone who wants to support these efforts in Indiana County.
