The Foundation is proud to announce that the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) is allocating $86,900 for the PATH Match program for the 2016-17 school year.
What’s PATH?
PATH is a program created by the Commonwealth to inspire private donors to provide financial support to students through partnerships with organizations like CFA. Only 32 organizations in the state are approved partners. The annual allocation is used to match award dollars for certain students receiving Foundation scholarships.
Who benefits?
Our scholarship winners who are attending an accredited school within the state of Pennsylvania, are receiving a PHEAA grant, and have a certain amount of unmet need are considered eligible for the PATH Match. For the 2015-16 school year, 71 area graduates collectively received nearly $86,000.
What does this mean to you?
Since the PATH Program can potentially double scholarship awards for students, it furthers your charitable intention of supporting higher education. Interested in starting a scholarship fund? Contact CFA’s Donor Services Associate Katrina Perkosky at 814-208-8411 or kperkosky@cfalleghenies.org.
