911 Trail Challenge
September 7, 2019 @ 5:30 am - 10:00 am
$25To preserve the memories of the people who sacrificed in defending freedom on September 11, 2001, the National Trail Memorial Alliance, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is pleased to host the 911 Trail Challenge.
The event aims to raise awareness for creating and maintaining a 1,300-mile multi-use trail that connects the New York City National September 11 Memorial and Museum, the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County, PA, and the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, VA.
The Trail will serve as a catalyst for economic development by encouraging recreational and educational tourism in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, DC. Currently, more than 50% of the Trail is off-road, and we have been partnering with federal, state, county and local officials on 14 projects to connect more than 30 trails.
