A.H. Chatfield, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to provide a scholarship awarded to a Beltie Youth Group member, a Belted Galloway member, or a child or grandchild of a Belted Galloway member furthering studies in agriculture or animal husbandry.
Aaron Coyle Scholarship Fund
Aaron Coyle Scholarship Fund, The intent of this fund is to provide a $500 scholarship to a senior from Greater Johnstown High School in Aaron’s memory. Aaron’s strength of character and purpose in the way he lived his life shall serve as a model for candidates to encourage the connection between service and faith in our community. The award is presented to a senior whose life exemplifies the noblest of human values: faith, hope, love, and friendship, and in recognition of his or her willingness to give of one's time, energy, and talents to affirm the goodness of life. This is not an academic award.
Academic Alumni Scholarship Fund
Academic Alumni Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to provide scholarships to Johnstown High School graduates who wish to further their education in a college, university or technical school. A group of teachers, both active and retired, established this fund in 1997. Caring graduates of Johnstown High School contribute monies for this fund.

Alan and Gail Stept Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship Fund
The scholarship has been established by the Stept family to honor Alan and Gail's memory, as well as their love for music and the arts. It provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Westmont Hilltop High School who plans to pursue a career or continue extracurricular participation in visual or performing arts, which may include theatre, music, dance, choreography, acting, fine arts, and film.

Alice McGivney Mazur Memorial Scholarship Fund Provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior at Portage Area School District accepted into an accredited post-secondary institution to study elementary education. AmeriServ Financial Scholarship Fund Provides a four-year scholarship to a child, grandchild, niece or nephew of an AmeriServ employee, with a fifth year bonus if the student secures a job in Cambria or Somerset County after graduation. Applicant must attend Mount Aloysius College, Saint Francis University, or the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Ann Mazur Memorial Scholarship Fund Provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior at Penn Cambria School District accepted to an accredited post-secondary institution, including a college, university, trade school, or technical school. Preference will be given to applicants planning to study elementary education. If there are no elementary education majors, secondary education majors will be given preference. If there are no secondary education majors, students studying business will be given preference. Anna Buffoni Award
Anna Buffoni Award The award is given to a senior female student at Central Cambria High School who best exemplifies the ideals presented in a quote by Albert Einstein: “The ideals which I care to use as beacons that shall show the way for me to serve my mankind towards higher objectives of humanness, are goodness, beauty, and truth. Goodness, in being kind and gentle to all. Beauty, in perpetual improvement in all that I touch. Truth, in all that I do.” All high school teachers and other high school employees may cast their vote for the female Senior whom they feel is best qualified to receive the Award. There is no application process to be qualified for the Award. The winner of the Award is any Central Cambria High School female Senior receiving the most votes. The candidate for the Award does not have to be planning to go to college to qualify for the Award.

Anthony F. and Ann R. Urbas Education Fund The intent of this fund is to provide a tuition scholarship annually to a student at Bishop McCort High School.
Apollo Award Fund
Apollo Award Fund This purpose of this fund is to award the Apollo Scholarship, which is available to third- and fourth-year medical students. Scholarship recipients agree to practice in Cambria or Somerset county upon completion of their medical training. Recipients who do not return to the area after completing their training may be expected to re-pay the scholarship.

Barbara and John Havrilla Nursing Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide scholarship support for senior students at Portage Area School District and Windber Area School District who plan to study nursing at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Conemaugh School of Nursing, Mount Aloysius, or Saint Francis University. Eligible students need not be the highest performing in academics, but should demonstrate strong financial need and a commitment to their studies.

Bedford County Bar Association Scholarship Fund The purpose of the fund shall be to provide scholarships to selected eligible students who are accepted into and enroll in an accredited law school.
Bedford Grange Mutual Scholarship Fund
Bedford Grange Mutual Scholarship Fund This fund was created to provide awards to children of Bedford Grange Mutual Insurance Company policy-holders. The application is open to high school seniors who plan to attend a college, university, or trade/technical school in the fall, as well as collegiate freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Applicants must show a strong history of community service and extra-curricular activity participation and demonstrate that they are motivated to achieve their future goals.

To provide scholarship support for an individual residing in Cambria County who has been accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in Cambria County with the goal of receiving a certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in a human service field.

Camp PARC Helping Hand Scholarship Fund
Camp PARC Helping Hand Scholarship Fund The purpose of this scholarship is to provide resources to equip higher education-bound students who have excellent academic achievement and a record of outstanding service to Camp PARC. In the spirit of People Always Responding with Compassion, the scholarship committee seeks well-rounded, kindhearted, and community-minded individuals who are interested in making a difference in our world. Applicants must have served as a Junior Counselor, Peer Buddy, Childcare Counselor, Resident Staff Assistant, or a combination of these positions for a minimum of two years for the full duration of any of the camping sessions at Camp PARC in addition to or including the summer in which they apply for the scholarship.

Christopher (Bub) Ream Memorial Scholarship
Christopher "Bub" Ream Memorial Scholarship Provides two annual scholarships for Somerset Area High School senior football players and also provides for other areas of community support. Eligible students should intend to pursue a higher level of education (2- or 4-year college degree program or trade school.) One award will be for that football player who best exemplifies the character and kindness of Christopher on and off the field. This includes respect for coaches and teammates, as well as the opposing team players. The second award will be for that football player who, while being a kind and caring person, will be recommended by English/Literature faculty members. Claudia Mehall Memorial Scholarship Fund
Claudia Mehall Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support for graduating seniors at Forest Hills School District. Eligible students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of a possible 4.0) and a strong history of community service and volunteer work. First preference is to award the scholarship to a student who will be majoring in the following fields that reflect the type of work that Claudia Mehall performed during her career at Forest Hills School District as the Supervisor of Special Education and School Psychologist: special education, psychology, social work, or a related field. If no students meet the field of study requirement, the scholarship should be awarded to the student whose community service and volunteer work most closely resemble the traits that Claudia displayed during her work: empathy, kindness, patience, and concern for others. Selection to be done by the Forest Hills scholarship committee using their knowledge of the senior class. There is no application process.

Clifford Maust Scholarship Award The intent of this fund is This award is voted on by the Salisbury-Elk Lick School Fund Committee. It is awarded to a graduating senior who has a GPA of 3.2 or higher. The recipient must be accepted into a post-secondary program. Candidates for the scholarship must write a short, one-page, essay describing how they demonstrated leadership and write a short, one-page, essay describing what they have done to improve the community. Conemaugh Township Class of 1945 Arrowhead Award Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to award a $50 scholarship each year to a student at Conemaugh Township High School. The current graduating class shall choose the recipient, who should be an all-around good student; not necessarily outstanding. Conemaugh Township Class of 1957 Scholarship Fund
In 2007 at the 50th class reunion of the C.T.H.S. Class of 1957, the reunion committee held an auction to establish a scholarship fund to honor our class deans. Elizabeth Will, an English teacher, and Walter Shank who taught Health, Drivers Education and was a Baseball Coach. Both deans were admired and respected by our class members. With the generosity of our members we are able to provide a scholarship to two students each year. The Elizabeth Will award is given to a student that will pursue a degree in English, Journalism or Communications or a Teacher. The Walter Shank award is given to a student that will pursue a degree in Health, a Health or Sports Related Teacher, Physical Education or sports assistant.

Corey Leech Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund will provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Bishop McCort Catholic High School who will be pursuing post-secondary education in the nursing field. If no students are eligible, then the scholarship may be awarded to a student who is studying any type of healthcare-related education.
Croner Educational Fund
Croner Educational Fund This fund provides scholarship support for members of Trinity United Church of Christ in Berlin, Pa. First priority will be given to church members who are students for the Christian ministry. Second priority will be given to church members who are college students and who have financial need. Applicants must have been a church member for at least two years to be eligible to apply. All scholarship distributions will follow guidelines as provided by the Fund Representative(s). The Fund Representative(s) may also elect to make grant distributions directly to Trinity United Church of Christ.

To provide support for the Conemaugh Township Football program, Pee Wee through Varsity level, including player scholarships, equipment, meals, and other expenses.
Daniel and Marcia Glosser Fund
Daniel and Marcia Glosser Fund The intent of this fund is to benefit various local non-profits. This fund will also award a $1,000 scholarship annually to a full-time student at Greater Johnstown High School. The recipient of the Dan and Marcia Glosser Scholarship Award should be a student who exhibits excellence in studies, concern for others and one who is involved in some form of community service. A prime requisite of the student is a good moral character, evidence by a positive moral influence on others. The student must be one who works to the best of his/her ability and maintains a B average or better. With the foundation of an education in the Greater Johnstown School System, the student should be planning to further his/her education in a college, university, or a two-year trade school.

Griffith Memorial Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to be distributed annually to a student at United High School who meets certain criteria. Created as part of the 100 Families Project. Eligible students must be entering a post-secondary institution pursuing a degree in a business-related field and possess an overall GPA of 3.0. Lockard Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support to two graduating seniors at Northern Cambria School District who plan to pursue post-secondary education, one in a business field and the other in a trade or technical field. Preference will be given to those fields, but if no students meet the criteria, the selection committee has the ability to choose a deserving student studying any field.

Dr. Rosemarie K. Tipton Memorial Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support for a graduating senior of the Shanksville-Stonycreek School District who shows perseverance and dedication, exhibits a strong work ethic, challenges their limits to perform beyond their abilities and lift their skills to new levels and demonstrates good moral character. The student must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school.

Don and Diane Bailey Scholarship Fund This scholarship is available to Forest Hills High School seniors who succeed and lead in the classroom and when participating in sports and extracurricular activities. First preference will be given to applicants who are pursuing a major in an educational field, but if no students meet this requirement, then the scholarship can be awarded to a student pursuing a different major, as long as they have a 3.3 or higher grade point average and meet the rest of the scholarship criteria.

To provide scholarship support for Central Cambria students who attend and graduate from Admiral Peary Area Vocational Technical School.
Don Bailey Forest Hills Football Boosters Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarship support for graduating seniors at Forest Hills High School who intend to pursue a two- or four-year degree. Eligible applicants will be current members of the football team who have a history of athletic and academic excellence.
Doris Jean Lazere Scholarship Fund
The intent of this fund is to provide an endowment which will provide a scholarship in the amount of $200.00 to be distributed annually from the fund, to a graduating student from Portage High School who intends to pursue a career in nursing with priority given to a student from Cassandra Borough. Dorothy Pekala Scholarship Fund
Dorothy Pekala Scholarship Fund This donor designated scholarship fund is to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Richland High School who has been accepted to and will be attending St. Francis University, Loretto, Pennsylvania. Eligible students must have at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship will be paid to the school upon receipt of the student’s freshman year transcript. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Richland School District Scholarship Committee based on established eligibility criteria. No application required.

Dr. Bert and Lucile Wiley Health Professions Scholarship Endowment Fund Provides scholarships to Bedford County students who are interested in pursuing a career in the health care field and who intend to return to Bedford County upon graduation. Additionally, the fund supports other charitable efforts in Bedford County, including donations for equipment and program support to UPMC Bedford Memorial, scholarship support to the Allegany College of Maryland and Bedford County Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Dr. Clyde E. Harriger Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to provide scholarships in the amount of $500.00 per student, annually, for a senior boy and girl in the Richland High School graduating class. The students shall have demonstrated a strong academic aptitude in the collective sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics) and have been matriculated at a college or university with an intended area of major in the sciences with a career goal of health sciences. The recipients, upon recommendation of a committee consisting of, at least, the head or chair of the science department and the guidance counselor will also demonstrate strong qualities of compassion and integrity. While academic excellence is a major consideration, financial need will be considered in case of multiple qualifying students. Johnson Family Scholarship Fund This fund provides an annual award to a graduating senior at Conemaugh Valley High School who plans to pursue post-secondary education at a trade, vocational, or technical school. This scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who best displays their motivation to succeed in their intended area of trade, vocational, or technical education. While a transcript is requested as a part of the application, the winner does not necessarily have to have the highest GPA. Instead, it will be awarded to a student who is well-rounded and passionate about their future education and career.

Joseph "Jack" Walker Award Scholarship Fund A scholarship to a graduating senior at Salisbury-Elk Lick High School that has been accepted into a post-secondary education program. The criteria for this scholarship are a GPA of 3.0 or higher, during their 4 years of high school. The recipient must be accepted into a post-secondary program. The candidate needs to have volunteered to do community service and present a one page recommendation letter from a person who supervised their community service. Also, the candidate must provide a recommendation letter from an adult, who is not a relative that will attest to the student’s good moral character, strong positive attitude, and the respect they show for their life and the life of others. She was an Honor Roll student who was Treasurer of SADD and the Spanish Club. She danced for 13 years, played viola, piano, and was involved in musicals and the church choir which showed her passion for music. She had a strong belief in God and Christ. This scholarship allows Kiersten to be honored and remembered. Should Bishop McCort High School cease to exist, this fund shall support scholarships to the University of Pittsburgh for deserving students from the city of Johnstown as determined by the Foundation’s scholarship committee. Steve Petro was one of the first athletes to receive a college scholarship from the Johnstown area. He played college and professional football and later served more than 50 years as a coach and athletic administrator at Pitt. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Hall of Fame and the Cambria County Hall of Fame. This scholarship recognizes his commitment to his family, friends and the Johnstown community.

United School District Scholarship Fund
United School District Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to benefit graduates pursuing education at a college, university, vocational/technical school or apprenticeship program. The scholarships shall be made to one or more students who have demonstrated academic excellence by attaining not less than the equivalent of a B or 3.0 cumulative average at their level of education and who wish to pursue post-high school education in a college, graduate school, vocational and/or technical school or apprenticeship program accredited by a state and/or national accrediting body. Viking Pride Award Fund
Viking Pride Award Fund This fund supports and acknowledges a graduating senior student of the Shanksville-Stonycreek School District who exhibits the personal attributes of leadership, responsibility and community service as demonstrated in the school and the community. This shall be an annual cash award to a student selected by the award committee.
Voices of Hope Fund
Voices of Hope Fund The purpose of this fund is to provide support for Voices of Hope’s mission of creating awareness about rape culture from the survivors of sexual violence in order to prevent sexual assault from occurring. This fund also provides two scholarships. The Unveil Your Voice Award is available to graduating high school seniors, and the Compassionate Roxanne Award is available to qualified college sophomores and juniors pursuing a career in the human services field.
Walter E. Wood Scholarship Fund
Walter E. Wood Scholarship Fund Provides scholarships each year at Forest Hills High School until the total sum of the fund is expended. The scholarships shall consist of $1,000.00 to one graduating boy and $1,000 to one graduating girl for college, trade/vocational school or personal enterprise. Each recipient shall be from a single-parent family; if criterion cannot be met, the scholarship shall not be awarded in that year and funds shall roll over to the following year or until criterion in met. The funds shall be used only for scholarships and not for any other school projects and/or payment of district or school debts. Walter F. Mitchell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
Walter F. Mitchell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund The intent of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior at Greater Johnstown High School, Richland Area High School or Turkeyfoot Area High School who intends to pursue a career in electrical engineering at a four-year accredited school and who meets certain criteria: a grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, participation in extra-curricular school activities and community activities, and demonstrates financial need. If no electrical engineering student applies, then the award will go to a student in financial need.

William I. Plank Scholarship Fund Provides a scholarship to any undergraduate college student (rising sophomore, junior, or senior) studying in the field of environmental or conservation studies. Courses should be related to natural resources, soils, plants, animal science, agriculture or forestry.

William Obert Scholarship Fund The primary purpose of this fund shall be to provide scholarships to Bedford County students who are interested in pursuing a career in the health care field and who intend to return to Bedford County upon graduation.
William R Lloyd Jr Scholarship Fund
William R. Lloyd, Jr. Scholarship Fund This fund provides scholarship support for a graduating senior of a Somerset County public high school enrolled in an accredited college or university who intends to major in Government, Political Science, or Politics. This scholarship was endowed by former State Representative Bill Lloyd (D-Somerset) for the purpose of encouraging Somerset County students to pursue careers in public service. The scholarship will be paid out in the winner’s sophomore year of college and is renewable for their junior and senior years if certain eligibility requirements are met.
