Promoting Fundraisers & Events

The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies is happy to support efforts to promote a fundraiser or event associated with CFA funds.

This support includes:

  • Entry of your event on the CFA Calendar
  • 2-3 Postings to Social Media
  • Listing in our bi-weekly newsletter

We encourage event organizers to create marketing materials, like flyers, and establish your own social media event pages, with links to the CFA website, where appropriate.

Take a look at these suggestions for promoting your CFA-related event, program, or activity.

Please look over our Donor Initiated Fundraising Policy before you get started. Then fill out & submit the following form so we have all the information we need to help:

Everything we need to know to help you with your fundraiser.
  • What is the name of your event?
  • What type of event are you holding? Is it a golf outing? Basket party? 5k?
    Will this event raise money for your CFA fund?
  • What is the cost to attend this event? If it is free, type FREE. If there are multiple price points, please explain.
  • How can someone register for your event? If online, please provide website. If no registration is needed, write NO REGISTRATION.
  • Please tell us how this event relates to the CFA. Is it a fundraiser for a CFA managed Fund? Is this event supported by a CFA grant?
  • What is the name of the person organizing this event?
  • What's the best number for someone to call for more information about this event?
  • What email can someone use to get more info about your event?
  • When is this event?

  • What is the commonly used name of your event's location?
  • Please tell us the street address for your venue, so everyone will know exactly where it is.
  • What is your event or organization's website?
