Matt Matusko Memorial Welding Scholarship

The purpose of this fund shall be to provide for two annual $750.00 scholarship awards for qualified senior applicants enrolled in the welding program at the Somerset County Technology Center and/or the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center.

To provide annual support for Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great, located in Uniontown, Pa.

McCready Family Scholarship Fund

To provide a minimum of one annual scholarship to a graduating high school student from Bedford, Cambria, or Somerset county pursuing a communications degree at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

McKenzie-Raupach Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarships for seniors from the Berlin-Brothersvalley High School.

Melanie Beckner Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for graduating senior students at Admiral Peary AVTS, Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center, and Somerset County Technology Center who are planning to pursue post-secondary education in culinary arts or business.

Melissa O’Kinsky Scholarship Fund

To assist students from Somerset Area High School, primarily those enrolled in the School of Education at Slippery Rock University.

Melvin Family Fund

To provide support and encourage economic development in Uptown Somerset (defined as within a two-block area around the Diamond – exceptions will be considered.

Memorial Community Center of Lilly-Washington Fund

To provide financial support for costs associated with the Memorial Community Center of Lilly-Washington.

Memorial Fund

A fund created to honor the legacy of your loved one. Donations support unrestricted grantmaking as determined by the Foundation’s Distribution Committee, through the Fund for the Future.

Contributions to this fund have been received in memory of the following: William and Anne Barbin, Marie Douglas, Delores Faunce, Morton Glosser, Nathaniel Glosser, Leora Hoffman, Marvin Kirsten, Gloria Mendelson, the O’Shea and Paruch Families, Edward Stan, Sandi Stevenson, Fred Suppes, Nancy Quast, James A. Memorial Hospital of Bedford County Foundation Fund

To provide scholarships to Bedford County students who are interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field and who intend to return to Bedford County upon graduation. Additionally, the fund supports other charitable efforts in Bedford County, including donations for equipment and program support to UPMC Bedford Memorial, scholarship support to the Allegany College of Maryland and Bedford County Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

A fund created to honor the legacy of your loved one. Donations support pathways to higher education for local students, as determined by the Community Foundation. Contributions to this fund have been received in memory of the following: John M. R. Ayres, Esq. and Vanessa Hyatt Wiley.

Meyersdale Area Education Association Staff Memorial Scholarship Fund

To benefit graduates that will continue their education in a college, university or technical school. This scholarship is in memory of all staff members who gave their time and talent to educate the children of the Meyersdale Area School District.

Meyersdale Area School District Fund

To support any endeavor that enhances the Meyersdale Area School District.

Meyersdale Area Student Assistance Fund

To support students in need in the Meyersdale Area School District.

Meyersdale Area Weekend Backpack Program Fund

To support the Meyersdale Area Weekend Backpack Program, which helps provide food to students in need.

Meyersdale Church of the Brethren Kids’ Klub Scholarship Fund

To provide two (2) $500 scholarships annually for past participants of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren Kids’ Klub who will be graduating and pursuing post-secondary education.

Meyersdale Elementary School Educational Boosters Fund

To support any endeavors that enhance the Meyersdale Elementary School educational initiatives.

Meyersdale Lions Club Flag Fund

To provide funds on an ongoing basis for the purchase and maintenance of an American Flag on the monument square flag pole located adjacent to the Dough Boy Monument in Meyersdale, PA.

Meyersdale Merit Scholarship Trust Fund

To award annual scholarship(s) to a Meyersdale Area High School Senior demonstrating academic potential, ability, and the intention to pursue his or her further education in accordance with the criteria set forth in the Trust Fund Agreement.

Meyersdale Wind Farm Fund

To support worthy projects in the Meyersdale area as determined by a local advisory committee.

Michael and Mary Ann Kost Scholarship Fund

To provide annual scholarship support in the amount of $1,000 each to one male student and one female student at Conemaugh Valley High School who have the second highest GPA ranking in the senior class.

Michael and Mary Locke Dorosh Trust Fund

To provide financial support for Habitat for Humanity of Cambria County, New Day, Inc., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church, and the Community Foundation.

Michael J. Rudnac Memorial Scholarship

To provide an annual scholarship for a graduating senior Westmont Hilltop student who plans to attend a four-year degree program and meets a majority of the following criteria: a B or 85% average or above student, involvement in athletics or extra-curricular activities, demonstrates good school citizenship, community service involvement, and leadership skills.

Michael P. Baer Memorial Scholarship Fund

To pay a $250.00 senior award annually upon graduation from the Meyersdale Area High School.

Michael’s Fund

To provide assistance to needy elementary students of United School District. This class of student shall be determined by participation in the government subsidized lunch program.

Mid-Atlantic Whiskey Rebellion Trail Fund

To provide support for the development a heritage and tourism trail that recognizes and celebrates Pennsylvania’s unique spirits-related assets.

Miles for Hope Fund

To provide support for emergency transportation services, in memory of Michael C. Vore, who passed away from esophageal cancer during his transit from the hospital to home. It is the family’s wish that this fund be used to alleviate financial and logistical barriers for residents of the Greater Johnstown region by underwriting the cost of emergency and medical transportation services to patients in need.

Milton I. Friedman Memorial Fund

To benefit arts and education organizations. This fund was established as a legacy for Mr. Friedman. Created as part of the 100 Families Project.

Mina and Barney Lucas Fund

To provide scholarships and equipment for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program at Somerset County Technology Center.

Minersville Action Committee Fund

To provide support for projects that help to improve and revitalize the Minersville neighborhood.

Mitchell and Rebecca Azar Family Scholarship Fund

This fund is to benefit annually a graduating student of Westmont Hilltop High School. Students must have at least a 94% grade average and attend one of the following institutions: Washington and Jefferson College, George Washington University, West Virginia University, Pennsylvania State University or Louisiana State University. The selected candidate will also have demonstrated leadership or community service involvement.

Mobilify Southwestern Pennsylvania Fund

To provide support for the operations and programmatic activities of Mobilify Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Monessen Class of 1968 Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for graduating seniors at Monessen High School.

Morley’s Dog Fund for Kids

To provide assistance to mentally and physically handicapped children up to age 18.

Mouse and Robin Grass Arts Fund

To provide support for the arts in Bedford County with a yearly distribution according to the following criteria: A. 10% to support the existing Mouse and Robin Grass Scholarship Award Fund. B. 10% to be equally split between the five Bedford County school districts for arts programming. The grant funding will be made available to art teachers for them to use within their classrooms or for further education or art experiences for their students. C. 80% to enhance nonprofit art projects and art programs in Bedford County.

Mr. Jodon Educational Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship support for students in Bedford, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland Counties who will be pursuing a post-secondary degree in education. Eligible applicants can include high school seniors, students already attending college, or non-traditional adult learners.

Mt. Davis Gravel Grinder Fund

To support volunteer fire departments in Somerset County through a bicycle road race event.

Murtha Family Fund

To provide support for nonprofit organizations in Cambria County that focus on community development and revitalization efforts, tourism, and quality of life improvement projects.

Music Makes Us Stronger Fund

To support individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer, with preference given to the following groups, respectively: 1) a student who attends a school within the Conemaugh Township Area School District or an employee of the Conemaugh Township School District, 2) a Conemaugh Township resident, 3) an alumnus of the Conemaugh Township Area High School music program or a child of a Conemaugh Township Area High School music program alumnus, 4) a student involved in a music program in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 6 (Bedford, Blair, Cambria and Somerset counties).

Music Mechanics Fund

To help the youth in our area make music. The fund will provide instruments at low or no cost to qualified students in the Bedford area. The fund will also assist with monetary help for individual/private instrumental instruction and/or participation.

Myrrel Overdorff Memorial Beautification Fund

To support local nonprofit organizations.

Myrtle and Walter Davis Scholarship Fund

To provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Indiana High School who plays golf and will be attending IUP, preference given to a female.

N. Robert Moore Charitable Scholarship Fund

To support scholarships for graduating senior students at Dubois Area High School.

NAACP Johnstown Legacy Fund

To support the operating costs of the NAACP Johnstown Unit #2266.

National Association of Insurance/Financial Advisors Scholarship Fund for the PHCC

To support the students of Pennsylvania Highland Community College.

Neal and Marjorie Stager Endowment Fund for Holy Family Parish

To provide general support and maintenance for Holy Family Parish, located in Portage, as determined by the finance committee and the parish priest.
