PLAN Seminar: Charitable Foundations

Presented by Amy Edmiston, CPA CSEP, CNAP, Manager at Wessel & Company and Michael W. Sahlaney, Esq., Partner at Sahlaney, Dudeck & Hochfeld Law Office

So your client is interested in formalizing their philanthropy. What’s the
best option? This seminar focuses on the differences between private
foundations and community foundations and compares the two options
as charitable giving vehicles. You’ll learn how each functions, including
legal requirements, tax liabilities, administrative considerations, costs,
and more, including a closer look at donor advised funds and the
process of converting a private foundation into one. Open to wealth advisors and estate attorneys who are part of the Philanthropic Leaders Advisory Network (PLAN). Continuing education credits are available for CFP, CPE, and CTFA, and approvals are pending for PACLE continuing education credits.

Registration is $10, which includes lunch. The seminar will be held at noon Jan. 23 at the Rustic Lodge in Indiana.

CLICK HERE to register, or contact us at 814-536-7741. R.S.V.P. by Jan. 17.
