Mark Pasquerilla & Ed Sheehan: Still Kickin’ After All These Years!

Remember Mark & Ed’s 100th birthday party? It’s time for their 110th! The two well-known local businessmen and arts patrons will be celebrated at a special party, “Still Kickin’ After All These Years.” The bash is scheduled for Thurs., Sept. 25 at 6:00 pm, and will be held at the Pasquerilla Conference Center. They are personally inviting YOU to attend!

“This party is going to be a great time to celebrate our birthdays, but more importantly it’s a great time to celebrate our community. Through your generosity we’ll be able to support some very important local projects so we thank everyone for coming and helping to make our community better,” said Sheehan.

Pasquerilla added, “We’re thrilled that people are helping us to celebrate our birthdays in a first class way and that we’re all able to work together to improve our region. I’m proud to live in a community with people who really care about moving it forward.”

Proceeds from the party will benefit the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies’ Fund for the Future, the YMCA’s capital campaign, and the Johnstown Area Heritage Association’s capital campaign.

Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 at the door, and include food, soft drinks and beer. The menu includes a roasted pig, smoked BBQ pork and smoked beef brisket, baked chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers, and a variety of side dishes, snacks and desserts. For an additional fee, there will be a “dueling drinks bar” and specialty wine tastings. Advance tickets may be purchased at The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies (116  Market St., Ste. 4), the YMCA (100 Haynes St.), the Johnstown Galleria Information Booth, or online.

Entertainment will include:

Billy Price: Blue-eyed soul man Billy Price has been entertaining audiences in western Pennsylvania and worldwide since performing in Pittsburgh with the Rhythm Kings in the early 1970s. Price’s popularity and longevity in his adopted hometown and elsewhere isn’t hard to explain. As Geoffrey Himes of the Washington Post has written, “Unlike so many blues revivalists, Price is not an imitation of better singers–he’s the real thing.” He’s a local favorite, and performs frequently in Johnstown at the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival (2012, 2010, 2006) and

Jeff Jimerson & Airborne: Jeff Jimerson is regarded by many as one of the finest vocalists Pittsburgh has ever produced. He is the primary National Anthem singer for the Pittsburgh Penguins and has also performed for the Steelers and Pirates. Appearing on several local compilation CD’s, he is a regular feature for seasonal fundraising events such as WTAE-TV’s Bundle Up Project, KDKA-TV’s Children’s Hospital Benefit, the 3WS Oldies Mass and WDVE’s Toys for Tots Benefit. Jeff is also an integral part of the “B.E. Taylor Christmas Show” performing annually throughout the east coast including their sold out shows at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh.

His band, Airborne, has been together since 1990, and have performing individually throughout the tri-state area for over 20  years, with music styles ranging from the 40’s to today’s hits.
